EXTRUDED PRODUCTS All the moldings listed are manufactured to O.E. ISO-9001 specifications. The flexible extruded plastic moldings are attached using 3-M application specific attachment systems (adhesive backing; peel and stick). These are the same materials used to attach urethane bumper and body side moldings on modern cars and trucks. While this assures lifetime attachment to your project, they can be easily removed without paint damage by using a heat gun or hair dryer. The chrome moldings are chrome Mylar extruded with flexible plastic and a clear UV resistant coating. There is also a semi-clear temporary plastic layer intended to protect the finish until it is installed. All the moldings are flexible without distortion to a point, the smaller the part profile the more flexible it is. Do not confuse these moldings with cheap products available at your local auto parts store. While they may look similar their quality, durability, and selection are defiantly inferior, and probably not what you want for your project. In addition to the chrome moldings you will find that we also offer some moldings in black, white, and wood-grain. These moldings are intended for special applications for a custom accent (or problem solver) where chrome wouldn’t make the same statement. They are also easily painted (unlike the chrome) to any color using the same methods and materials used to paint urethane bumpers. The wood grain moldings and panel materials are available to provide you with the resources to design and build your own “woody” or just add a wood trim accent. Listed below are the profiles and lengths we have available. There are 100 different profiles (shapes/colors). Samples are available in a couple different ways. Use of the Adhesion Primer is recommended when installing the moldings around a tight radious, eneven surfaces, or on glass or chrome.
